Winter was nearing its end, the last days of its final month marching on as Spring neared, but the chilly air would not leave with the calendar, nor would the warm blankets, but one couple found that the warmth of their closeness was preferable to nightwear as they settled in for the night.

Achilles lay on his back, letting out a sigh of contentment as he welcomed the comfy pillow against his head and the soft mattress supporting him. He was even more contented as a lovely vixen, his darling love, Claire, sauntered over and joined him, gently scooting closer to him until their shoulders touched. The contact sent a tingle up his spine, always welcoming the touch of his love. Claire turned over slightly, laying her head on Achilles' chest, catching his eyes in her sparkling gaze. "Tu ne t'endors pas encore, chérie~?" (Not falling asleep yet, are you, darling~?) She asked, her soft voice sending a shiver of excitement up Achilles' back. "Without kissing you goodnight? Wouldn't think of it, love~" He replied, raising a hand to caress Claire's cheek, their eyes closing as they leaned closer to join their lips in a passionate kiss.

After a few long moments of blissful engagement they broke their kiss, chuckling quietly together in their embrace. "It's always a good night with you, amor, but you always find a way to make it better before it ends~" Claire whispered, nuzzling Achilles as she shifted until she rested a leg over his, feeling his chest with one hand as she snuggled closer. Achilles wrapped an arm around her back, the other arm pulled close as he held her shoulder. "I wouldn't have it any other way, mon cher~" Achilles whispered back, feeling the soft exhale of Claire's delighted sigh. It didn't take too long for them to fall asleep, but they remained in each other's arms, and in their dreams they envisioned one another, as close in their thoughts as they were in their hearts.
