"Do you love me?" she asked, and her question was left hanging in the air for long seconds, or perhaps eons.
'i don't know.'
Was all the answer, eventually and it left her heart sinking. All she wanted was to be >>closer<<. To feel something that meant more than a clam embrace.
She felt her hand slip, something underneath giving way. Something lighter than sand, tighter than water - a caressing un-space full of false currents and vibrations. She felt the drag and push of emotions given form in the void that was R's heart.
Emotions eaten and corroded away by uncaring pragmatism. Echoes of things felt through seven lifetimes ringing cold and hollow.
"Have you... never loved anyone?"
'i don't think so...'
"Not even ... >>before<<? Not even as Rachel?'
The currents twisted playfully around her fingers and she saw the faint hint of a smirk accompanying that.
'least of all as Rachel. ... i guess never felt the need to indulge in something i was so good feigning already.'
"You say that," she took hold of R's chin. "Like you know what you are missing out on."
And she let all her love flow out and flood the intangible depths as if she could fill up eternity with it... more space lesbians less fucking gooooo D8
