A tight hug to heal two souls.
Bad feelings, begone.¨The cat’s tired gaze shifted from the ground to the cobra's face as her long body coiled around his own, from feet, legs, torso, slowly immobilizing him.
The cat did not resist, he did not have the energy to try to break or even turn away. As far as he knew, cobras did not squeeze their preys, and although perhaps in any other circumstance being at the mercy of someone else would make him at least try to look hard, cold or indifferent to overcome any situation all he did was lean forward and hug his partner's belly, finding comfort and warmth in the softness of the snake's fat while a hand rested on his head.
He was so mentally exhausted that his body resented it, but the warm touch and soft organic pillow in conjunction with the cobra's affectionate embrace gave him a spark of strength.
''We can do this.''
He said as he closed his eyes.
