I have quite a few questions about James and Lein! But these are the biggest ones;

What does James do for a living? Apperently he had the means to save Luka from legal trouble in the past? (For that matter, what did Luka DO? And how DID James save him? Did he pull strings in Luka's favour or did he go to whomever Luka victimized and beg them to not ruin his idiot little brother's life before it properly started? Or both?)

Did Lein tell James Luka broke his promise not to sleep with his students? If so, what was his reaction? And if not, wouldn't that seriously hurt the relationship later? Also if Lein didn't tell him, does she respect James or just see him as a pushover she can safely treat as suits her?

How does James actually feel about Luka? The vibe I got is 'cares about him, but is so tired of Luka's bullshit.' Also when he learns Luka broke his promise, how will he feel about that? Wether or not Lein respects James seems up in the air, but Luka clearly doesn't. (If anything Luka seems to resent James for clearly wanting to keep him out of trouble.)

Is James's personality similar to that of Sheas actually? A quiet subtle guy who'll take a lot of crap (while very meekly indicating his displeasure) until it boils over and then goes nuclear but then also doesn't follow through? James basically being 'giant sized XL Sheas' might explain a few things...

Lein seems to act like Luka's surrogate mommy, very 'aww poor baby!' How did that come about?

James is involved in their family business and their family is pretty wealthy. As for the legal troubles, that's a big spoiler for the future story, so I can't answer that yet

Most of it is a spoiler as well. Lein is in good relationships with both brothers. She is a loyal friend for Luka. As for James, she loves him. She might tease and trick him a bit, but we think her respect for James is high. For her he is different from many men she met in her life.

The whole promise situation is a big spoiler once again. However the vibe you got is pretty much accurate! As for Luka, he respects James. It's just the attitude of the silly younger sibling towards the smart older sibling. Something like "I love him, so I provoke him"

They do have some similarities indeed. They are both calm and quiet, both are responsible elder brothers of troublesome younger siblings. Sheas however is way more vulnerable and tends to overthink everything. James has stronger and more reserved personality, he is used to live in shell we'd say. It nearly impossible to put James off balance (but we all know a certain girl who can do that)

I see most of this is spoiler territory then, hmmm!

Though I can't help but notice a few things... James is like a less vulnerable Sheas in personality. James is a blue eyed snowleopard (blue eyes, white (or greyish I guess) fur), Luka asked Sheas early on if he had spots (like a snowleopard?), Sheas with his hair pulled back does seem to look a little like 'smaller cat James'... I can't help but wonder there...

Was James at least a partial influence on what Luka likes?

If your question is somewhere around the incest topic, the answer is definitely no. James and Luka are brothers and that's all about their relationship. They definitely care about each other in their own way, but neither of them has a deeper attraction towards their sibling. Luka's flirting and teasing is just him messing up with people like 99% of the time, Shelby, James, Lein and many others included.

Moreover, Luka likes exactly the opposite to James traits in Sheas. He likes the way Sheas pretends to be reserved and then just blushes red, when he finally confesses his actual desires and feelings or when he is being all sass. Luka loves the emotional side of Sheas and actually helps our kitty to become more open and sincere.
