So I took a crack at drawing
mypicketfence's character Klaus, an afghan hound. I deviated from his design a bit to make it generally easier to do ;o; Holy crap, afghans are difficult to draw.
Anyway, we're thinking that Olivander and Klaus have a sort of "frenemy" relationship. They are both really terrible people, it's only natural that they should occasionally get along.
(...of course, I'm not sure Olivander is aware of the fact that afghan hounds are occasionally called upon to hunt foxes. Hm.)
Klaus belongs to
mypicketfence.
Olivander the fox is mine.

Ah, but to think of all the effort you expended rendering those delicate strands of Klaus' fur ! The moment of fiendish camaraderie is caught and depicted brilliantly, and although the fox and the Afghan hound share similarities in both their looks and expressions, they are also subtly different in many ways. Like two pirate ships sneeringly hailing each other amidst the nightly sea. One of the audience members was right to previously remark upon the demonic look that Olivander sometimes takes possession of, muchly due to his hands looking like clasping claws or talons. Klaus shares this aspect, and it doubly haunting to see such menacing hands hold the terrified tender tiny bunny so gingerly, yet unyieldingly. This scene calls for some sombre, staggering Medieval port ballad or a demented carnival tune for its background. Jack the Ripper isn't the Number One suspect of Scotland Yard anymore.
This picture calls back to this picture of Klaus - possibly, the tape measure divulged some pleasing results this day, and the titular question would be answered positively. I'd happened upon a drawing that in many ways resonates with the latter picture, although it is not by the same artist - here it is. It's astonishing how different people may be come across the nearly identical visions and give artistic life to them.

"Like two pirate ships sneeringly hailing each other amidst the nightly sea." I like that. XD Pretty accurate imagery of their relationship. (Do what you want 'cause a pirate is free, you are a pirate~...ship.) I agree on the music choice too, I think either tune would be equally menacing.
That's one of my favorite pictures of Klaus so far, for obvious reasons <3 And that other Afghan hound is quite wonderful, thank you for sharing! It is interesting how the same specie inspires parallel visions of monstrosity.
