So, with Disney Studio turning 100 years old a couple of years ago, it stands to reason that some of its longest running characters will also be turning 100 soon, and first on the docket, to my surprise surpassing both Mickey and Oswald- it's Pete the cat. Though fun fact- Pete wasn't always a cat, he used to be a bear that antagonized a live action girl named Alice in some silent cartoons (slight correction, they weren't silent cartoons, there was some rudimentary voice acting, I was confused because I only saw a review for some of the cartoons and there was dialogue text and speech bubbles on the screen) , and over the years he's been one of the most consistent antagonists in the Disney lineup, having many different versions over the years, from cartoons, to comics to video games, and everything in between. Speaking of his different versions, I drew my and my buddy's favorite versions of the big cat, for me that's definitely the House of Mouse version of Pete, he looks so snazzy in his suit, and for Ben his favorite version of Pete is from the Kingdom Hearts series. So, let's celebrate one of Disney's best villains turning a century old, because his rival isn't too far behind him.
