As Vixen's planet grew, the one person that risked his very life to document creatures on the planet's surface was her ancestor, Patrick. He's been long dead, but his book is still around on Magica; Many Beasties! A Look At Your Backyard Monsters!
He has more than just one. :P His handwriting might be hard to read, but I think you can translate it. The drawing is one he did in the actual book, and the German at the top says "Strong, fast, and hard to kill."
- The hydra is a smaller version of its larger reptile cousins. At first glance, it mearly looks like a Clydesdale sized reptile, Nearly as tall at the shoulder but twice as long. From birth, unless the head has been previously severed, a person unknowing a Hydra from complete sight, would mistake it for a massive meat eating reptile. DON'T MAKE THAT MISTAKE! Hydras have splits in their tails, which is the main indication of them being Hydras. Another is the spines along their backs. Twin spines branch at the base of their neck, then fold into one line of spines to the tip of their tails. They have a single horn on the top of their heads, as well as fin-like ears on their heads. They're not so easy to dispose of, either; Hydras wield a powerful breath-weapon, a jet of steaming hot water from their maws. Chop off about 4 heads and have 5 heads- you have 5 white-hot searing jets of water that can melt your face off before you get a chance to defend yourself. Hopefully, you never have to face a multi-headed hydra, but if you do, try distracting its many heads, while you or a friend aim for it's heart! Magic works wonders, although water type spells and fire type spells do nothing to the Hydra. Try shocking, that seems to work the best! -
