Flash meets with the leaders of the rebel alliance at their base. They offer her
the choice of proving she is the prophesied Destroyer and following her, or
equipping her to face Ming alone. She decides to ask her mother.

Standing before the Shield of Welleran, Flash’s mind is transported to her mother’s realm.
She is told three things that will aid her in her quest for Ming’s head.
She is told to accept the rebel’s challenge, their aid is needed.
She is also warned that, although successful in her quest against Ming, she may not survive Ming’s final act of revenge.

Ready to accept the rebel’s challenge, she finds that that an unexpected source has already proclaimed her Destroyer, Death of Ming.
Flash inquires about the Swamp people, and is told they are all dead, even though Atuna told her they are alive.
While she and the rebels debate this, Ming’s troops attack, having discovered the rebels’ base.

While the rebels prepare to evacuate the base, Flash treats the invading troops to the hospitality she reserves for her enemies. One soldier becomes her prisoner.
With the aid of the rebel robot, Flash makes plans to capture the troop’s ship.

Will Flash succeed in finding and recruiting the hidden Swamp people?
