My lovely friend's soul dog, Quinn, is currently dealing with terminal cancer. My friend has been beside herself with grief. Quinn has been her baby boy since before I ever knew her, and losing a pet to cancer is something she's never dealt with before.

I've been piecing together a little care package for her to help her through the grief and Quinn's eventual passing, and I drew, printed and framed this picture for her. Quinn is normally a very stoic dog, but I couldn't resist drawing him overflowing with happiness, which is how I knew (and she knew) he always felt around her, no matter how chill he is on the outside. "Are you a dog???" is one of those silly questions she asks him to get him excited about whatever, and I think it probably always worked.

There's no doubt about it: Quinn is DEFINITELY a dog, and also a very good boy.

I'm not sure when the time for Quinn to pass will come, but I hope my gifts to her can help bolster her spirits during the transition through his loss. And besides, all dogs go to heaven, so Quinn's post-life-prospects are looking EXTREMELY choice. B)
