TRANSCRIPT

Made my way back to the Nest. The group here were a good bunch of people. Eager to share stories about their travels around the continent. From the dark and ashy south that is in the Coal region, and the sparkling sands of Nickel up north. Each with their own settlements trying to get by, and those that wish to take the easy route and leech everything from others.

The lead merchant walked with me to the Baliff's office and spoke of the bounty hunters that accosted us. Not an uncommon occurrence judging from both their reactions.

For the highwaymen bounty, I showed the weapons and stolen trinkets, which matched the reports he got. He took the trinkets, let me keep everything else, including the 700c and gave me another 1000c. But what mattered most was that he offered to vouch for a meeting with a councilor who may help me. though I'd need to wait until tomorrow to find out when.

So in the meantime, I stopped by the general store to resupply, then the gun store. The pistols didn't bring much, I had enough parts for one complete gun, which brought 75c. The remaining parts got 35c. The shotgun however, that would cost me 800c to refurbish. Seems high, but a similar shotgun on display is being listed for 2,200c, so not terrible I suppose. Still, the repair will take a couple days. Guess I'm staying here for a while.

I wandered over to a tavern for lodgings. intended to just grab some food, get a room, and rest. But I decided to indulge a little. I'm getting a little more comfortable being around people again. Still afraid another eclipse or something will happen though. But I survived two, I should have faith in myself to survive another.

Anyways, I ordered a properly cooked meal and tried a beer. Best damn meal I've had.
