urf.
Do you think working while looking at a down angle (like, reading a book whilst leaned back on a chair) can be bad for your eyes, or strain em more?
Working with the Cintiq somehow seems to...I dunno, make me see double.
After only an hour or so, I start to see ghosting. Like when reading text, there's a a vertical offset of the characters.
It's hardly noticable and only when there's strong contrasts like black in white.
Also it goes away within 10 minutes, and only happens when I have worked with the cintiq. Could it be due to reflection? I've already put a special antireflection sheet on it...the display kinda seems grainy..is that normal? D:
I haven't been able to visit an eye specialist yet, but I've been to the optician and got glasses. But they sadly didn't help with the problem.
I was hoping it would help put less strain on em while working.
But it only makes everything HD, especially in the distance.
Docs said my eyes were good enough. I don't actually need the glasses.
But I feel like I've bought em in vain now. .__.
Anyone ever experience anything like that?
*sigh*

Defiantly. Looking at a screen for a long time also strains the eye. I know because I'm a computer programmer and I look at a computer screen all day and night.
I don't know what to advise you except to try to give yourself breaks when your sight starts to become stressed.

Hm...I am not sure it's the same.
I can look at a normal screen alright, for longer times even.
When I draw using my Intuos, which means I am looking forward at my screen rather than at a downward angle like when I am drawing with the Cintiq or traditionally.
Also, my eyes don't -feel- stressed or tired. It's more like, I don't even notice it until I like, look at text.
And I usually work in fullscreen and handle everything with shortcuts. So most of the time I only notice after a while.
Thanks for your comment, by the way! I appreciate it.

Reading a book at certain angles will strain your eyes too. That's what I meant by the "definitely." And often times you may not be aware that your eyes are getting tired until they are REALLY tired. You're probably just having mild symptoms with that certain program/way of looking at it.
