plushies don't need to eat or use the restroom or even stay warm necessarily, so it's very easy to just pick a spot to haunt... and go inanimate mode, blur the line between awake and asleep, between living thing and background object. lengths of time in one spot that'd be impossible otherwise can slip by so easily in a plush dreamland. you can get this intimate familiarity with how the sun shifts through the sky, how the flowers & mushrooms sprout up and disappear, how the different burrowing creatures come out at dusk or dawn (even the ones that don't show themselves to people). and!! a friendly rat plush might even join you in your haunting <3
