The first thing I played with was the rims. I got these off Amazon. They are beadlock rims, like the factory, but I like the scale look here. The coolest thing to me is if you look closely, you will see a six bolt pattern in the middle. That is functional! (I can still remove the wheel by pulling the central nut.) The only caveat of undoing the six bolts is that it does make the rim split into its three component pieces. Not necessarily the easiest to handle the wheel assembly, unless one actually wanted to demount the tire...

Anyways, there are no foams in the tires at this point. The rims are airtight, so the vehicle is actually riding on inflated tires! Which tickles me! The only problem is that I have no real way to add or remove air from the tire without disassembling things. Makes me want to figure out how to make a little valve system somehow, because...
