I went suiting to Downtown Disney, just because. It took about 5 minutes before I got kicked out, which I was expecting.

To anyone who is surprised by him being asked to leave:
Disney gets uppity about it, because they have their own costumed characters around. They don't want a fursuiter to be mistaken for a character, and potentially cause any issues with a guest who may become unhappy/dissatisfied with the interaction you may give them. Also, you're a problem because they can't see your face, they don't know who you are, they don't know your intentions. It's to protect their own butts :P

Oh wow, a voice of reason. Of course Disney will kick you out. Any performer there has to be an employee or contracted with them. If a visitor get hurt or upset by the fursuiter then Disney gets sued. If the fursuiter gets hurt, Disney gets sued. It is a sue the richest person world these days so Disney needs to protect themselves.
Cool that you got the picture but not cool from your commenters blaming Disney for protecting themselves.
But... would have been awesome if you had a picture of you and Micky Mouse side by side. hehe

Some places yes. But I have found a few places that have welcomed us and even asked us to come back. It really depends on how you act and how you ask them for permission. We been Ice Skating, street festivals, hospitals, vineyard events, Church events, city and state parks and art festivals.
Around southern California they're not quite as welcoming as they used to be, not without prior permission anyhow. Even places that once welcomed us on our random visits have had to tell us that they can't allow us to be around anymore.
And I didn't mean that all places would do so, just that if some place does ask you to leave, it is generally for the same reasons.
