They don't actually xD, just gotta be sure to use winter paint or things will go all to hell. Occasionally you'll get a batch that is rather tough to break as that's how winter paint is made, the shells are thicker. I've had games where they literally bounce off you but it's not because they're frozen cause that'd suck sooo bad D:
