This is a faction of my plural system! Most of us have "Jo" names, so you may keep calling us that for convenience!
The main faction, at least online, Josephine is the true soul of the vessel. Having originally lived life as a simple dragon, she would go on to reincarnate through many lives, including the very vessel writing this description. Some memories will naturally be lost, and some new factions will form here and there, but the soul persists with the desire to let itself shine as brightly as its glory days.
That being said, this incarnation is much more...interesting than the rest. Rather than the simple origins of her past life, this dragon incarnation has much darker, more complicated origins. It was born from pure dark matter, negative space, nonexistence, personified as amorphous, eldritch monsters. How Josephine has persisted into her current form despite all of it remains a mystery, and it's probably better off for all of us that she is the way she is now. But even she's not immune when depression and anxiety rear their ugly heads; we can only hope her methods of venting aren't too destructive.
