Current store window of the exceptionally chi-chi Bvlgari jewelry store on the corner of West 57th Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan. (Directly across the street from Tiffany's and The Donald's Trump Tower, by the way.)
They both look rather pleased, don't they? For me, it's easy to imagine this as Circe putting the finishing touches on this fellow's leonine transformation (for which he traveled long and far to reach the Funhouse and humbly request such a metamorphosis from the goddess herself) with a last caress or two.
An interesting co-inkydink: in my current (& hopefully transient) career as a cabdriver I just yesterday morning picked up the store's window dresser as she finished her monthly overnight shift redoing the store's windows. (The street level windows, not the second floor.)
I asked her what the femme and the feline were doing up there; she said it had something to do with the zodiac - but there were no plans to change it month to month to reflect the current sign. (And besides, 'Leo' doesn't begin for another month anyway.) Who cares? As long as it's up there it gives me an excuse to drive by that corner every chance I get.
