And the last artwork I finish before the deadline World Building Awards! It's been really fun to conceptualize different fantasy species for After Silence and getting to use them again in different contexts. In this case: my interpretation of a nachtgiger as a very debonair professor.

You know. If he had human styled ears, he would resemble a Chiss. If you do not know what that is, it is the race of the Character Thrawn in Star Wars.

But yeah, I do see the ressemblance. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I never was a Star Wars deep-lore junky, and haven't seen much of the new shows, but I don't want to step too much on the toes of already established scifi/fantasy worlds. Seems like Chiss are all blue with red eyes.
I think it might help, that nachtgiger do have a bit more diversity when it comes to skin and eye colour, leaning more into purple or green sometimes, like seen here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/60548866/
The eyes have different colours of dusk or dawn, any colour the sky and sun create in the moment of rising. I probably should avoid making them bright red, seems like x3

Yeah, all chiss are blue skin, red eyed and black hair. No special abilities save for their analytical and tactical minds. Thrawn or his full name Mitth'raw'neruodo learns about his enemies by studying their history, culture and most of all their art to understand them.
