Because they're still only one being and every being needs to feel apart of something. Something can be someone else's life, a community or even the greater picture. It's all philosophical craziness. To be honest I feel the same sometimes despite having people around, loneliness is an extraordinarily complicated feeling.

I know the title is probably a rhetorical question but I couldn't help myself; this is so emotional. *hugs* If you ever need to talk, I'm just a message away.

A face can change but the being behind it always remains the same I'm afraid, I hope your going to be ok

No matter how many faces, how many versions or facets you break your psyche down into, it all inevitably connects back to the same single soul that started it all.
And, i'm gunna get a bit sciency here, but due to our ancestry, each soul will always crave companionship. No matter how much you can populate your own mind, it will always look for an outside source for that little extra Something... whatever that something is.

I'll finish with telling you that you aren't alone in feeling like this, and most certainly not the first.
