Kiegan is the God of Connections, his being is only possibly the those who have faith in his abilities. However, in one life time, he ruined his friend by trespassing upon the domain that is reigned over by the Goddess who had created all the Gods of Africa. His punishment is that he may grow, but his powers will drain more and more of him to the point of dying. Being a God, he is simply reborn, but he never gets to experience the pleasure of growing up like the others; reborn as an adult with no memories.
However, Kiegan had picked up a companion, a young maned wolf pup whom he called "Mola'tamu" (Goddess' Dessert instead of 'desert'). Whom he naturally calls Sand because of where he found him. The thing follows him about and seeks him out when he dies. Because of Sand's constant presence, Kiegan had called him his 'son' and Sand acts as Kiegan's memories by retelling them whenever he dies.
During one of these cycles of rebirth, something had occurred in Kiegan. Sand noticed that Kiegan's overprotectiveness to any harm that would fall upon the pup had disappeared and he became more playful. Kiegan's aggression and intolerance had splinted from his overall being into a cub who was born into his appearance, with the exception of the marks upon his back and eyes. Tegan as his parents named him, went off on his own, intolerant of his parents and those who tried to keep him still. Eventually, he stumbles upon Sand during one of Kiegan's absences who accidentally recognizes him as Kiegan for his likeness. Tegan learns shortly that he is but just another side of a coin to a god. Proud of himself, he takes Sand to find Kiegan.
However, when the two meet, Tegan is instantly disgusted that the god of whom he is part of is a childish, idiotic, innocent, and pathetic being, he denies having any sort of relations with this immortal and struggles to differentiate himself. Also seeing Kiegan as an unfit father figure, Tegan takes Sand from him and ventures off on his own during another of Kiegan's absences.
So the story goes that Kiegan seeks out his lost son and, whom he recognizes, his brother. On the way, he slowly develops what he had lost, intolerance to those who are of no help and aggression for his brother who took all that he had.
Essentially, Tegan is just a wrench in Kiegan's happy-go-lucky life XD
Dun worry, Kiegan is far too innocent and playful, he is sure that his constant positive vibes will annoy the hell out of Tegan.
