Weiss Wald was born of the love between a Lucario warrior monk and a Ceruledge knight errant, raised in his mother's home temple in the arts of fighting wicked sprits, malevolent Ghosts, and other evils that haunted the world. Upon coming of age he set out, armed with all the training his parents could give him, and the desire to give the restless dead peace, and the wicked the justice they deserved. One stormy night on his journey he fell into a deep lake. There he met the one who would become his closest companion; Arthur.
Arthur knew not who he was; only his name, that he was a Dhelmise, and that he was so deeply hungry. So when Weiss, who as a Lucario and one who stood partly between worlds because of his father, fell into the lake where he'd been dwelling in torpor, he saw a beacon and filling meal all in one. Yet as his seaweed body enveloped Weiss, the Lucario didn't struggle. Instead, with boundless compassion he fed Arthur his aura, filling the amnesiac spirit with a warmth and love that felt so familiar. One it wanted to know more of.
Thus, Arthur saved Weiss' life that night, and has been faithfully and closely following the warrior monk ever since. Sheltering him from the harsh sun and guarding his back in battle. In turn, Weiss provides Arthur with the nourishing energies of his aura, acting as a spiritual mentor, and trying to gradually help the Dhelmise remember who he was.
