Say hello to Jack and Oliver, my conjoined giraffe twins! They've spent their whole lives together, quite literally. Things get more than a little awkward when you're literally one person from the shoulders down, but they make it work somehow. They have a very close relationship, and yet they are also very different people.
Jack is the more grounded of the two, practical and down to earth. He is diligent, responsible, and somewhat reserved, with a fondness for books and quiet cafes in which to indulge in reflection or quiet conversations among narrow groups of friends. Somewhat neurotic, he dislikes bright lights, hectic environments, and chaos in general, preferring to keep things orderly. He is currently attending University, where he is angling for an eventual degree in engineering, with the long term goal of attaining a solid career and financial stability. Straight and somewhat romantic, he has his ear to the ground for a girl who can meet him on an intellectual level, someone he can truly bond with and build a life around, perhaps even start a family of his own someday. His vision is terrible, a genetic flaw inherited from birth, and he wears corrective glasses to compensate.
Oliver, on the other hand, is a veritable wild child. Brash and extroverted, he thrives and the controlled chaos of hectic environments, and is very much a social butterfly. Very comfortable in his own skin, he tends to speak his mind openly, and wishes for little more than to 'live his truth', whatever that means on any given day. He is also attending University, where he is pursuing a degree in graphic design, which he intends to use as a productive outlet for his many creative passions. Gay and very proud of it, he'd sleep around with half the hot guys in town if he had any say, and very much longs to explore the sensual side of his identity. At the end of the day, he just wants to have fun and life his life to the fullest while he has it. Like his brother, his vision is also terrible, but he opts for contacts instead, of which he keeps a variety of shades and colors to mix and match on a whim.
I am very excited to explore these characters and their interesting and dynamic lives! This reference piece is brought to you by
meganekko , whom I deeply appreciate for being willing to pour so much love and detail into such an unusual character concept!

Love the idea of these two, with such diffrent personality's there most be a lot negotiation and compromise between them so they can live there live as they individually want to. Plus the idea of one being straight and the other gay is fascinating as it must cause a lot of friction & auowcredness between them. I'm also curious to know what the control split between them is?
Funny you should ask! The really interesting thing about them is there is no control split! They have mutual independent control over the entire body.
Basically, at any time, one of the twins can do pretty much whatever they want with any part of the body, as easily and naturally as if it was just their own. And the other will feel it happen completely without their input. So if Jack decides to reach up and grab something off a top shelf, Oliver just feels his body up and do that, with no say at all on his part. And vice versa! If Oliver feels like getting up and going for a jog, then poor Jack just had to suck it up and go along.
Neither of them can 'stop' the other from doing things, their body just doesn't allow for that. What they CAN do is kinda fight each other. Like, if Oliver wants to lift an arm and Jack really doesn't want him to for whatever reason, he can try to pull it back down with the opposite muscle group. But they really try very hard to avoid fighting over the body like that, because the end result is a painful cramp and a miserable time for both of them. So generally speaking, if one of them does a thing, the other just lets it happen.
Coinciding with this, they also share sensation over the entire body (from the shoulders down; their heads and necks are the only parts that are truly independent). Anything their shared body does or anything that happens to it is felt by both of them simultaneously.
