"Yeah, laugh it up, pancake face. You forget, I'm the perfect height to take out your legs..."
Faebruary: I am very excited to share this monthlong project with you all! Regular viewers of this channel will know that a lot of my creative focus goes into Kroashent, my ongoing fantasy series. There's a ton of background lore for the series, so I thought it might be fun and helpful to run a little project to introduce to viewers new and old, to the characters and creatures of Kroashent, with a twist!
For the month of February (or rather "Faebruary!" I will be posting drawings of the characters of Kroashent as different creatures from Alvez, their world. To begin, these creatures will be the "Tuath", the sapient, social creatures of the world (think the playable species of D&D). (We'll address the beasties and things that go bump in the night in a future project)
Kathalia: Kathalia, bastard daughter of a remote barony on the Painted Channel, was kidnapped and spirited away from her homeland, joining with an order of Paladins, the Urzh Kroashent (Order of the Crossroad). When her order was betrayed, she retreated deep into the bleed. Emerging changed into something no longer quite human, she became a professional thief and highwaywoman, secretly working for her revenge against those who wronged her and coming to terms with her new reality.

Kriores: The Korrigan of the Moors. The goblinoid Kriores are among the most numerous of the Korrigan Tuath in Letha. There are actually two "tribes" of Kriores, the Gargantuans and the Jetins. Both are known for their strong cultural traditions and complicated social hierarchies, a far cry from the stereotype of the "chittering green horde." that their enemies have labeled them.
The Gargantuan Kriores are skilled architects, they use water to carve and shape the stones of their grand subterranean cities beneath the mountains. They are fond of riches and have a reputation as skilled minors.
The Jetins, on the other hand, have rejected this underground heritage, instead taking to the high seas. Despite their small stature, they are among the most prominent sailors and shipbuilders of the Korrigan, even perfecting a method of submarine travel.

Val's Notes: I've drawn Kathalia as a Kriores/Goblin before, and originally, this project was going to focus mostly on imps and goblins before spreading out to other Tuath as well. Mostly, goblin Kathalia is just fun to draw.
