Stolas Amigurumi WIP

Something a little bit different.
While I've taken a break from drawing, I still needed to be creative so I dipped my feet back into amigurumi crochet. I bought a pattern for Stolas, took one look at it, and said "f*ck this. I'm freehanding it." because crochet patterns make me dizzy to look at, and it's such a more streamlined process for me to just make it without a pattern. I learned how to do a double treble stitch for this project, which I used to make the heart shape for his face and to make his feathers.
I'm working on his torso now, but I haven't got any photo updates for that as I just started work on it last night while at a friend's house. I tried the torso onto the head last night and decided that he needs a neck haha, so I'll be adding that to the head.
I'm really enjoying this project. It's so relaxing. It's funny, though, because it's so easy to lose track of how long I've been working on it. A couple of times I got so into the zone that a couple of hours went by and I hadn't realized it. It's tedious work, but I genuinely like it.
