06-17 & 06-20 Artcards
I held onto the earlier batch because I planned on having a big mailout today and also because I have a thing about scanning in an odd number of cards. I'm weird, just roll with it.
SO...
First we have one of the last steampunk cards for Zura and Karmakat. Zura is picking Karma's pocket, or maybe she's groping him. She's his wife, it could be both!
Then we have Usaden and his lioness sweetie having just woken up and doing some sleepy morning snuggling.
Then we have Bloodstrype running into a battlefield without his chest armor. He gave me some situational freedom and just asked me to give him no shirt, so I decided to draw him in a dist storm. He elaborated on it further and said it was because a ship had just been shot down after takeoff. Definately something that would send you scrambling.
After that we have a card from Usaden's very patient cousin who wrote me a description of this card in crayon and I must say this was the most adorable commission I have ever done in my whole life.
After that we have Tygon who wanted to be a pony. So I made him into a golden yellow pony stallion with a striped mane. Hist cutie mark is a miniature painting brush crossed with a sword.
Then we have Philpem's geely fox character trying to juggle too many pieces of tech and tech wiring at once. I really caught my groove with this card and like how it came out.
Then we have Three half lying on the bed and posing a bit. People were shocked that I drew her nude like this, but it's not nudity I dislike drawing so much as drawing everything showing. I believe in subtlety and sensuality. A whisper instead of a bullhorn.
And finally we have a commission for Baineblade. Derrick and his wife take a little orphaned ferret girl they adopted out to catch fireflies and drag Three (They call her Sandy) along for the fun of it. There's a lot of quiet little tangled emotions summed up in this card and playing with the light source of the fireflies and then the less bright light source of what is probably the campsite was a challenge but so fun. I'm so proud of these cards.
All of these cards are 2.5 x 3.5 illustration board colored in copic marker with gelpen and colored pencil hilights. I draw these live via webcam on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8PM EST and take commissions happily. If you're interested in having one done for yourself let me know!
