I want to thank you all for the well wished you all sent my cat Smudge before he went for his most recent check up.
I am very sad to say things did not go well. Something that was missed in his last check up was spotted this time, two tumors were found inside his mouth and a choice was given. He could be brought home and medicated and prolong the inevitable, or, let him have a peaceful dignified passing. The latter was chosen.
This was the last picture taken of him, by me, the night before. I will miss him.
Rest in Peace Smudge.

Putting my Butterscotch down due to carcinoma was one of the hardest things I had to do. Even over a year ago, it still haunts me. But it would not be a quality life otherwise. In truth, we gave our boys the best lives possible and that's what we have to remember going forward.
