The Cadaverex is a nocturnal carnosaur that inhabits the grasslands of Arcadia. It is a scavenger, mostly feeding on the abundant carrion left by daytime predators. It chose a nocturnal lifestyle to avoid competition with the largest meat eaters. Should it stumble upon any opposition at dusk or at dawn (the latest and the earliest it becomes active) it can use its bright red head and guttural snarls to perform an effective threat display. Even if it's not enough to frighten larger predators, the display is usually enough to unnerve competitors into leaving the Cadaverex alone.

Not much else is known about this saurian carrion-feeder as it remains quite elusive.
