Oh, wow! This is super-ultra-mega cool, Oxnard! Given how you have gotten really good in drawing birds through Owlnard, I imagine you did a totally epic job of making the Chozo Statue.

It's fun to think on all that is going on here in the picture. The Chozo Statues are usually associated with Samus getting a power-up, or opening up a new path to explore in her adventures. Knowing that Ridley is keeping a close eye on what Samus is up to shows that, perhaps, he may have interest in whatever the bounty hunter may be getting, or activating, with the statue.

Haha, luckily Metroid Dread makes it obvious the chozo were birds - I always figured the statues were just weird aliens, but maybe seeing it's lil talon feet and pointy beak things I could've figured it out... I kept it toony but still detailed! And after spending a bit of time figuring out all the Chozo statue details, sneaking in Samus in the background being a lil funny just sounded fun. :3 Kinda felt like the introduction room of Super Metroid at this point, so putting Ridley just around the corner, ready to swoop and fly in, seemed like a good final touch, and kept the background from looking to empty. :3 The yoshi art I got in return was great too! Just a fun pair of doodles we could both fit in a day!

Also, as should come no surprise, I didn't know what "Dabbing" was until coming across this pic you drew. I asked Peep about it, as he is in the know of such things that I'm not, and he posed me in the position so that I could get a better idea of how it looks. Quite fun. :)
