so, after my old Buick LeSabre was stolen and totaled by some shit hole thief lookinf for a joy ride. i spent a TON of time looking for new wheels. i looked at performance cars and European cars like Audis and such...but i just happen to like what i like XD and what i like are big american land yachts XD this is one of the few design styls of the Buick LeSabre from the last 10+ years i don't mind XD i got lucky with this one. i only payed $4,000.)) for it. XD actually, my mate Lynxie and his cousin helped me to buy this car^^
anyway, i named it "the Exodos" for no reason XD it just popped into my head. XD no, it's NOT a bible reference. XD

Hmm very very nice! I wanna see the inside and try and get some pictures of the engine that would be nice, and I will try and put some pics up of my car in all it's crappyness. People keep opening the door and hittin my car and damn it it's pissing me off I already need a new paint job as it is and it will cost roughtly 1500
lol, actually, i never really took any pics of the interior XD oh well, i should get some taken some time ^^
yeah, i know what you mean about the door hittin problem, XP i had an 85 Chevy Caprice that was gold, and some smeg head smacked the rear passenger side door XP left a nce dent too XP...assholes XD
at some point, i still want to upgrade the shocks with some spot tuned shocks and then i wanna replce the pullys wih larger ones to increase HP and then, i am concidering an after market super charger ;) i wanna soup this up a bit and make it into a "Greaser Yacht" ^^

XD good luck and I don't like superchargers then again I have had some bad experiences. Come on turbos are better you just gotta know what your doing.
good luck with the shocks, I wish I had the cash for the pullys in my car and a new cam shaft by voodoo and many many other parts!
Sorry about the car I hate when people do that and act like asshole.

lol, i am gonna look and see if they make a turbo charger for this, and see what the performance level would be with one. the one thing the super charger has though, is i dont need to change the computer at all, the fuel pump and sending unit are the same as they are on a standard buick, and so are the lines. when i looked, it's just the super charger, the intake manafold, and the power steering bracket that need to be replaced, Buick made all the other parts standardized for even the super charged cars. maybe if someone make a Turbo for it, it'll be the same^^
Turbochargers are inherently more efficient than superchargers because they extract their compression energy from the exhaust gas (with only a slight loss due to increased back pressure on the exhaust manifold), whereas superchargers take all their energy from the crankshaft. With gas prices heading higher, consider a turbo. Turbo lag isn't a big deal in freeway driving, though a supercharger is better for autocross.
i was concidering setting this car up like an 86 Buick GNX, which is that model years LeSabre as a Grand National. they're VERY rare, and have twin turbos on them. if they can do it to that model year, i can do it to this model year since the essentials of the car haven't changed much since then. i mean, it's still essentially the same cast iron 3.8 V6 as that year...justg need money and parts XD
lol, a turbo whine on this would be very amusing to hear XD ahhh, if i had the cash X3 i could do most of the modifications for performance easily enough, i think the total equipment with new bucket seats and an engine overhaul for strength and even the suspension would cost me less than five grand XD this car would be rediculous XD not your average golf course parking lot car XDDDDDD
I'm not too much a fan of larger cars, but I wont turn one down. I drive around in a bright yellow ford ranger regular cab with an aluminum 3.0 v6, great mileage with acceptable performance, its been dropped down 3 inches from stock height and had a few performance upgrades, which both improved power and the mileage. It beats the wheels off alot of Civics, and can compete head to head with my friends car, a Pontiac GT 3.8. He only beats me occasionally, I needs new tires. :<
lol, well, i really like the 3.8 V6. the old Grand Nationals were the same block. i'd LOVE to get another modern LeSabre like this and install a turbo system, beef up the tranny with one from a Cadillac and then SERIOUSLY upgrade the suspension and brakes and basically make a sleeper. otherwise this car is the same as your friends Pontiac XD maybe a tad heavier. the neat thing about the GM 3.8 Liter engine is that many off road enthusiasts put this block into their Toyota 4X4s because they can output almost as much torque as they do horses XD i put Bridgestone G9 Potenzas on my car :P
Its not a bad engine, the combo just doesnt beat the one I have. My truck is pretty light, specially when its got no gas in it. lol... I'll blame a little of my mileage ability on the weight, I only have an 11 gallon tank, and I can go aprox 86 miles on a quarter of a tank. I know this cause my friends house it exactly 86.6 miles away. :x
I'd take a 3.8, I know its a very nice engine, but its not gonna be fast unless you toss it in something light, or pump it up a little. A 3.8 in a 85 Toyota SR pickup would be bangin'.
Personally... I wanna put a 5.0 in my truck, then super charge it.... I wanna put camaros and mustangs to shame. It has to suck when a regular cab 10k pickup truck beats the doors off your "performance" car that you paid about twice as much for, but there would go my mileage. x3

lol, it's a semi-luxury car with 250 HP...i don't know but the weight alone on my car is a drag XD you'd be amazed at how many cars i beat in this thing for the simple reason of "i have bigger balls then common sense" XD that aside, i'd still have to do many performance upgrades to make this a serious contender. i would vote to pump it up. i know there's a lot of after market parts that can make this thing fly and, this platform isn't so bad. it's much more stable the faster this car goes. at 110 it's glued to the road and quite stable. lol, i would love to put some "fast cars" to shame with an old mans boat XD
Buick isnt always a grandpa get along, lemme tell you a little somethin about a GSX. I'd love yo have one. ;p

Thanks! ^_^ I really liked my car too, sadly, it's no longer with us. A lower end bearing went bad one day and while the car was technically drivable, the knocking was SO LOUD it wasn't really, lol. In the end when I looked into how much it would cost to fix it, the car was worth less than the cost of repairs, so I bought a Subaru Outback, lol.
