A short story about the first time that my character Pierce met his friend, Jacques who served in the artillery unit that accidentally shelled the Lost Battalion of WWI. I chose to lean into how horses handle conflict resolution, rather than how humans do, and while they are good friends now they probably still get into friendly fights from time to time. This takes place in 1920, and our ttrpg is set in 1925.
