Reference sheet of my character Semiramis, beautifully designed by Weird_Swirl.
Her name is derived from the ancient Queen of Assur, Semiramis (or Sammuramat). Thought to be the child of a renegade priestess of the goddess Derketo, her life was to be doomed from the moment of birth. She was blessed with majestic beauty and had a wild spirit, impossible to tame. But her life was full of longing, loss and betrayal and when she became Queen after her husband, the King of Assur, died she was ultimately poisoned by her own son.

Her story is fascinating and inspiring to me, so much that i began to reimagine it and how her life would be today without all the restraints women had to deal with back in ancient times. And because i prefer the appearance, i imagine her as a jackal :)
