Well Not so much a ship as an extension of their body. The Synthetics were built by the humans in the Starblade universe and well...They evolved...There are many copies...blah blah plan blah. Okay so they are not exactly Cylons but they still maintain their pure mechanical roots. They'd not go for aesthetics on their ship so much as efficiency. The cockpit is in the back rear of the ship and the pilot is connected to the systems, or adapted for a non-synthetic pilot.
