Background: Within Evvy’s close circle of friends, Ellin is the oldest at the age of 30. Coupled with her bubbly, protective, and caring personality, she has gained a reputation as the big sister of their group.
She first met Evvy and Ruford when her family moved into their neighborhood around her 12th birthday, and she’d get to meet Jules later on. Being older than the others, she moved up to middle school and high school at least a year or two before her friends did, creating occasional gaps in time where she couldn’t see them. Even so, she’d take the time out of her busy schedule to hang out with them whenever she could, prioritizing birthdays, holidays, and other big occasions. It was partly because it’d give her a chance to share her latest baked goods with her friends.
Ellin’s love of baking was apparent even when they were kids, and as time went by she began to experiment with other dishes, preparing her own breakfast, lunch and dinner most days and expanding her knowledge of cooking. It was no surprise to anyone that she began to steadily round out over time, becoming rather large by the time she graduate high school. Her talents would eventually become the focus of her career path as she attended culinary school with the hopes of working in a nice restaurant. Unfortunately, Ellin found that the hectic atmosphere of the restaurant wasn’t a good fit for her.
For a time this left her depressed, as she was hoping to move out after finding a good job, but didn’t have the necessary life skills to live on her own. She longed for a change of scenery, and with the support of her friends, she eventually found a solution. She became certified as a live-in maid, offering her cooking skills and help with household tasks in exchange for housing and cash. It didn’t take long for her to get requests, and as she started working her usual enthusiasm returned. Whenever she sees Evvy and her friends now, she brings new stories to tell, new skills acquired, and new dishes to sample. Her presence is always a welcome one in their group, and no matter how busy they might be, they make the time to visit her as well, just as she’s done for them for years, occasionally offering to help her with housework when the job becomes too much for one.
