I feel guilty for not knowing how to speak Spanish, honestly. There are some people here in the States that believe that the immigrants coming in from Mexico should be required to speak English as their only language, and I find that belief downright fucked up.
I try though, and I'm glad that my effort is appreciated, even if I do use Google Translate. :)

About not speaking Spanish, I don't know any reason why you should feel guilty. Actually, we should try to put everything in both languages....
About immigrants allowed only to use English as the only languaje, I found it radical, but I guess that people think like that because there are sectors in some USA cities where English is not spoken. If therewould be something to be required, that would be not to exclude the country own language.
Anyway, learning languages is always funny, an very handy.

Nononono, people are allowed to speak Spanish anywhere they wish, but there are people who are racist enough to demand that they speak English and only English. There is no law that demands Spanish to not be spoken.
I have found learning Spanish very upsetting for me. I have a very hard time catching on what the words mean and translate to.
For example, most words have many different suffixes depending upon the context. Yo, tu, es, esta, imos, e, and some other ones I can't remember anymore.
I get depressed trying to remember them.

I understood you perfectly: I know there is not a law about that. I'm just saying it should be required the English to be present, for instance, in all the store adverts, medias, etc. In that way, you're encouraging people to learn the local language and allow them to integrate themselves into society, instead of creating self-exclusie ghettos.
About Spanish, the learning curve is specially long and heavy if you come from an anglo-saxon background. There are new concepts, genders, verbal forms, pronouns... It's quite more complicated. No need to get depressed. Learning a languaje requires lots of patience, and a good teacher that follows the right methodology. The rest is a matter of effort. Anyway, as far as learning romance languages are concerned, Spanish is the easiest one. So when you master the language, you can learn much easier French or Italian.

La verdad, yo por las noches me siento más seguro en la ciudad yendo por barrios de drogatas y putas que por los pueblos de alrededor del mio. Allá nunca me ha pasado nada, en cambio por los puebluchos esos hay de cada chungo... >.>

Valla, el dibujo ya coloreado quedo asombroso... Es una imagen compleja, llega a transmitir más de una impresión: Es obvia la gravedad de la situación, se siente el susto, la frustración, a la vez el alivio de que ya termino, la confusión, etc.
A la vez, tiene cierto toque extrañamente atractivo... Hasta cierto punto, me recuerda a la imagen icónica del martirio de San Sebastian
