Mint is your classic suburban mother, struggling to raise two kids with equal love and discipline after her husband left her. Her life changes for the better when Mako falls in her backyard. She helps by teaching him how to speak and how to behave and eventually begins to feel something for him. Something she thought she would never feel again...

Basil is a 12 year old wolf with a lot of energy. His mom tries to make him waste some energy by making him play a lot of sports, especially football in which he excels. The same can't be said about the rest of his grades, though. Mint tries to make him study, but it's not easy trying to convince a hyperactive soon-to-be teenager to get down to study. He's the one who found Mako in their backyard and immediately takes a liking to the caveman, having always had a fascination with the dinosaur age.

Juniper is Mint's first born and Basil's older sister. That being said, she's far too sweet and permissive to elicit any form of respect from her brother, who often plays many pranks to her, taking advantage of her air-headed personality. She is a proficient dancer and would like this to be her career when she grows up, so she spends many hours training to fulfill her dream. Like her brother, she's fascinated by having a literal caveman in her home and the two siblings often clash to hog the newcomer's attention.
