as i was drawing this i was like "hmm. i wonder what species of shark is his favorite" so i set up a poll on tumblr. one of the options is "he doesn't know any specific species. he just likes sharks" and in this context (furry au) i think it's super funny to think about. husky klavier asks him for a fun shark fact before a concert and all daryan can say is "whale sharks have spots" and klavier looks over at him and goes "you're a shark and you don't know anything about sharks??" anyway i really like how he turned out. i gave him a different hairstyle from what he has in aj:aa because you could not pay me to draw his canon hairstyle

i was torn between making him a tiger shark and making him a great white (because both are known to be quite aggressive, which i thought fit daryan pretty well) but i chose to make him a great white primarily because great whites are the closest living relative of megalodon and daryan's zipper pull is shaped like a megalodon tooth. so here's a shark daryan crescend
