This is a commission from a while back by  stonedshiba of one of the lionesses in Percy's pride who has a bit of a mischievous streak about her.

Athena met Percy during a meet up held by Sarafina's alma mater. Percy tried to keep a grown-up's dispostion but when outside of his element, his attention span fell about and he started to wander about. Long story short, he bumped into the lioness who was similarly bored by the social gathering and feeling a bit mischievous and Percy managed to distract her from that. After Sarafina formally introduced Percy to Athena, Athena wanted to have some playdates with Sara's big kitten. After Athena tried to pull a prank on Percy only for it to backfire and Percy being rather amused (it involved peas). After Jessica did the kindergarten teacher thing and had her sit in timeout, Percy crawled over and pulled Athena into a big hug.

"Oh, Mister MBA likes me turning peas into goop?" Athena teased Percy

"They're icky," Perseus fussed, "Seems someelse doesn't like peas."

"Nope!" Athena grinned, "But I like you...you make me happily purr just watching you be a big kitten."

"Dr. Kitten is just another kitten," Percy teased and licked her nose, "Your shortalls just proves it." Athena stuck her tongue out. Athena was very much holding back a blush - Percy was making her as playful as a kitten. And Percy's simple nature was making her all warm and fuzzy. That is until she tooted and a moment later Percy wrinkled his nose.

"Is that why you're an explosives engineer?" Percy teased as he playfully held his nose, "Cause you like making 'tinkies?" Athena groaned...but noddled shyly.

Athena works at the university as a mining engineer with an explosives focus. And yes, her she did get her fair share of teasing because of her tooting. Then again, since they were mostly geologists, she gave them their fair share of being teased. She also spends some of her time teaching at the university; while she would tease...and prank the geologists in the faculty, her lioness instincts kept her from doing the same to her students. Her class were her lion cubs so to speak as she nurtured their want to learn. Percy sneaking into her classes after he learned what Athena did, enjoying her classes and helping her find some extracurricular activities to enjoy with him...and give her an outlet for her mischief.

The moment Percy offered her one of his Diego bottles with mango juice and one of Jessica's Sister Bear diapers was the moment Athena decided to move in with Percy's pride. Percy was the playmate she wanted. He had to make sure she didn't cause too much mischief, but Athena fitted right in with the mix of kittens and caretakers in Percy's pride.
