Photo of my front yard (well, part of it) taken when the snow was just really starting to stick and form a blanket.
(That's Mom's truck, bought new by her late father. Dad's supposed to be working on restoring it. 1970-something Ford Ranger.)
Ya'll, we don't get snow here but maybe once a decade, and it usually doesn't stick once it hits the ground. This photo is from Tuesday afternoon. It is currently the wee hours of the morning on Saturday and There Is Still Snow In Our Yard! Melting fast during sunlight hours, but it's still there! This kinda snowfall is unreal here. At least the roads are clear enough to drive on now. Mostly.
Got some pretty photos of the property. And a few close-ups of "snow on leaves" and "snow on gravel" and such for artistic reference. And the magnolia tree hit me in the head with a snowball. Seriously never thought I'd lose a snowball fight with a freakin' tree, yet here we are. (Southern Magnolias are evergreens with broad, stiff, slick-topped leaves. The snow built up on those leaves in clumps that resembled snowballs. When the sun came out, it melted the snow just enough to make it slide off the leaves. Right onto my head as I was taking photos.)
