This is the last batch of daily comics, unfortunately. It was a lot of fun doing these over the course of the month, and I'm really happy with how most of them turned out. I didn't end up doing as many story-based comics as I originally thought I would, but I still enjoyed showing off little bits of my world and personality. This last trio of comics, though, got to be a little more connected and more along the lines of what I wanted to do.

23 - Obsession
So, this whole comic has a little story behind it. This first one starts off easy enough, as I was being a little irresponsible with my sleep during this time due to a variety of factors that were well within my control. I didn't get nearly as bad as Alex here, but I definitely wasn't helping my body to get over the cold that I'd just suffered from. I can get like this with some things, where I lose track of time because I just get so wrapped up in what I'm doing or what I'm playing.

26 - Obsession 2.0
And now the secret comes out! While I do draw a ton of tickly stuff and put my characters in all sorts of situations, tickle stuff isn't nearly as widespread in the actual canon story. However, it's still present in little pockets. Namely, Alex is one of my few characters with an actual tickle fetish, and he represses it super hard. Even his best friend Rose doesn't know about it... until now, that is.

28 - Obsession 3.0
I really wanted to explore this idea further. This whole problem is based on a short story I'd written many years ago where I had these two work through this very same problem, but with different context surrounding it. I like the idea of just digging into how these obsessions and hang-ups can eat at us and how sometimes we need the people closest to us to show that we really do have a problem. It's not about the fetish itself being a problem, but rather how we might go about dealing with it and the assumptions we might make about ourselves and how others might perceive us.
I dunno, I'm just waxing on about my thoughts now. It's hard to narrow it down into a clean concept with a solid message... which is probably why I still don't have any more comics in this storyline, despite really wanting to continue it.

But maybe that's something that be influenced by you folks here! Would you want to see more comics like this? Simpler art exploring my characters and ideas, or at least see a conclusion to this 'Obsession' storyline? Let me know!
