This one is rather different from the others so far. It's in another style and has none of the game's recurring themes or idioms. I can't say it's a genre I'm a fan of but I'm quite pleased with how well most of the samples in this turned out. Saber 5ths and 3rds work perfectly in this, though I find the lead guitar somewhat harsh on it's entry.

Remarkably, music is actually showing up in watchlsits for once. ^.^;
I've always thought that the organ came out particularly well in this one, love - nicely better than the original version. I do like the guitar, too, though you're right about the harshness.
I'm curious, did you make any of the samples yourself?

Not in the sense that I had access to the appropriate instruments which I could record myself. I did get them to the state they are in from the original sample packs which consisted only of each instrument being played one note at a time, however the quality of these packs was extremely inconsistent. I forget which, but some required every note to have its frequency manually adjusted to be properly in key, and for almost every instrument in every song I needed to graphically spread the samples on the screen several times in order to stitch the waveforms together by hand. Without doing this many instruments would sound like the note was being replayed repeatedly or would have audible seams several times a second, especially on notes with higher frequencies (as the sample repeats more quickly). It's a lot of work for something not very noticeable in the final product, but this is why sound engineering exists.
