TRANSCRIPT

I stayed outside the Nest last night to make sure no eclipse or other bullshit happened. Thankfully, it was uneventful. I walked up to this massive structure, so tall it disappeared into the dark sky. At the city threshold, I was stopped by a few guards. The city is on lockdown after the explosion a few days ago. Concerning it was heard way over here.

I asked to speak with someone who knows about finding missing siblings since it's technically true. They directed me to a local Baliff, named Harrison.

He wasn't too keen on seeing me. With the Nest on lockdown, tensions among the residents are high. So, armed visitors will raise some alarms. I asked him about my siblings, but he wasn't of any help there. He did mention that some of the 'bigwigs upstairs' would know better than anyone since they control the registries. But given the lockdown, they are scarcely taking visitors. I would need to have someone vouching for me.

Since the lockdown requires all security personnel to return to the Nest, it takes away from everywhere else. So, to substitute, bounties have been put up. A few seem doable. Harrison agreed to vouch for me if I can clear up some bounties. A service, for a service.

It's not ideal, but if it gets me an audience, while putting a few more credits in my pocket, then so be it. My supplies won't last forever, and I will need funds.

I found a local store to resupply. Luckily for me, the prices were cheaper than back at the Well. Makes sense, there are lots of farms under the outside greenhouse ring of this structure.

Anyway, I picked up an old style compass. My watch does have one built-in, but I'm not relying on a battery. Plus, some rope. And with that, I set off after my first target.
