However, Yami-Marek decided to spare Roland the tournament referee by using him as a puppet with his Millennium wand and neutralized his sister Ishizu to prevent her from escaping, they returned aboard the airship Kaibacraft 3, where the crew managed to repair the engines that had been damaged when Seto activated the button that transformed the craft into a super-steerable to escape the spirit of Gozaburo Kaiba who had tried to swallow them at the end of episode 121 Burying the past part 2.

Yami-Marek then securely bound/gagged Ishizu in her bedroom and Serenity was brought in by Rolland hypnotized and then neutralized, the psychopath now in possession of the three egyptian god cards and the Millennium puzzle now has everything he needs to dominate the world and take Atem's place to time travel 5000 years into the past thanks to the egyptian bas-relief on display at the Tokyo museum.
