My first ever clutch of eggs! The mother is an anery corn snake het motley, and the male is an amber (hypo caramel) het motley corn snake. The clutch should be 25% motley het anery, hypo, caramel, and 75% normal het hypo, caramel, anery with 66% being het motley.
Mother's name is Ticchio and father's name is Sunny. You can sort of see the mother in the photo. But this is my first clutch -ever-! I'm excited. They all look decent, all white. I put them up so hopefully all works out! They are, unfortunately, a bit on the small side..but this is also Ticchio's very first clutch as well.
Mother is a champ though. She laid her eggs, and has already eaten! And in case she double clutches, I'm going to start feeding her every 3 to 4 days just in case to get her fattened up.
BY the way..the substrate is a bit of sphagnum moss (it's been dampened now...) and vermiculite. Hopefully it works out and I'll have babies in 60 or so days! I'm still waiting on one other to lay here any day now...and another female who got a late breeding in (for whatever reason my rat snakes breeding time is different than the corns..)...who should lay eggs in about a month or so. I might have a king snake drop eggs..but although I did put her with males..I never caught them copulating unfortunately (and I never left them alone). Will see what happens.. But yes!
I dunno if I mentioned but there's 15. :D

Well, see, my striped california king was definitely interested in her. He TRIED to do his duty with her, but she would keep pulling away. Whereas the -other- male she flat out tried to kill. So IDK. I think she's just a bitch and said "NO BREED NO BREED!"
The last clutch she had (wasn' twith me) wasn't that good either...she only had a handful of eggs and only a few survived..the others were way too tiny and never ate.

She's been eating every week with no problem. In the same day I tried introducing both males to her. First the florida king - whom she hated, as I said, she kept attacking and biting him. The california king..she ignored. She let him nip her in the neck and try to wriggle up to her, but at the last minute she'd pull her tail away.
Lampropeltis act much better when they get fed frequently during the breeding season. Here's a good link:
