Sumac, a flareon with a love for plants, but the inability to truly appreciate them, is a new sona of mine. He is named after the fire-dependent prairie-plant, smooth sumac. You’ve probably seen this shrub if you live in the Great Lakes region, as its leaves turn such a vibrant red in autumn.

This little guy faces a lot of trauma and struggle that has to do with his uncontrolled fire powers that result in combustion of plant material, however through time, he learns that sometimes fire is something that can help the natural world.

The idea for this character popped into my head during the last semester of my college career and I was so excited to make him <3 hope you love him as much as me!
