Ok, so three hours later.... The photo gave me a ton of troubles, and I just could not get all the detail, colors, and shine I wanted. This is as close as I can get!

A barn owl, they are one of my favorite birds, I love painting them!
This is on a goose feather, about 5"x2" This was done with acrylics and oil paints for high lights. On the shaft there are three small stones, and it is lightly matted to give it a luminescent gloss. It has been framed in a 8”x11” wooden oak frame with black backing.
It will be for sale, just note me ^^

I really enjoyed working with acrylics again, its been a while. I tried hard on such a tiny area!
