The Virtual Market's Winter 2024 Festival is on!
And with it comes a new style of Laserdome play.
Instead of a tournament, xCirrex and Chris Kani offered the community the chance to sign up for "match card" games - essentially, these are arranged matches against teams of equal skill and interest, similar to mixed martial arts or the World Wrestling Federation. It isn't a tournament with a major prize beyond bragging rights, and there are no brackets to speak of. But, this allows for better teams to compete against each other, while also allowing time for casual play.
The move was well-received, and the event was well attended by the Laserdome community, Virtual Market attendees, and Projekt Community staff.
