Nobody in this fandom seems to do any scientific imagery. I'm not talking someone with a lab coat (not too bad) or a mad-scientist picture, but trying to do something more. If I'm wrong please provide links because I'd love to see such pictures.
Consider the rat... at one time the scourge of humanity, vilified as a carrier of diseases (often the fleas). Now however in the molecular age the rat has been the genesis of so much of what we know, our cures, our medicines.... In the one hand you can see the DNA ladder, symbolizing the genetic revolution, but also the breeding of lines of rats for various purposes. In the other, an antibody, symbolizing immunology, a field that for the most part owes much of its existence to the creation of pure rat strains.
Again, a pic for AC that I don't think will sell, but I wanted to do badly.

A fusion of styles might be a good thing though. I've pondered a version of this where the DNA and antibody ARE the Caduceus, with the antibody (on right) being the staff and wings, while the DNA are the entwined snakes. Although there are several versions of the staff I believe.
What sorts of other symbols are there in there?
(and BTW, thanks for all the comments to what I've posted :) )

That kind of a version doesn't sound bad at all. It would be a very creative fusion of symbols.
There are also tons of different alchemical symbols and metaforas that are cool to experiment with (the ouroboros, the philosopher's stone, geometrical shapes, the Kabbalic sephiroths, elemental and horoscopic signs, symbols connected to freemasonry et.), but their nature tends to be more mystic than scientific.
And hey, you're welcome. I like your arts. =)

It's this one. Fun to read, lots of pictures. I bought it for 10 euros or something.
