This is one of the very last pictures of Fatima that Vicky Wyman ever drew, for the last chapter of the last Xanadu story she got to finish, 'Into Golden Skies'. It is interesting to see how Fatima's 'look' changed from the late 80's to this. I wish I understood art better so I could say something a little more intelligent about the specifics. But her picture works better than any words of mine, anyway!

It somehow feels appropriate that this last picture of the vixen in a Xanadu comic, like her first back in Thief of Hearts #1, is of her writing a letter to someone.

I also enjoyed the subplot in the comic of the kitsune Genji getting a serious crush on Fatima and his failed attempt at romancing her, with a furiously jealous Tabbe watching him like a cat at the mouse hole.
