A fully handcrafted semi-sculpture featuring a D&D Mimic chest that I finished a recently.
The chest is entirely functional and measures around 30cm in length
While the Chest itself is made out of actual wood, I used some clay to sculpt the mimic parts.
For the teeth I used ''Cosclay'', which is somewhat more expensive then usual clay but is fairly flexible once baked (so the teeth will bend when pressure is applied to them and they won't break off. This was very important for me, to ensure the longevity of this creation.
The eyes are made from glass cabochons that I painted myself.
While the first mimic chest I made a couple of years ago was a personal project, this one in particular was a commission from
Wolfy the Hungry Shapeshifter, featuring his own character.
Thank you very much with entrusting me with this wonderful work!
I hope you like it.
