So.. I decided that it was time to do something a bit larger than an icon, and needed some me-time.
Besides, I couldn't get her out of my head... So I had to draw her. :3
Spend a long ass time on this piece, but I really like how it came out, she has really pretty eyes.
This will probably end up going on a t-shirt of mine, considering I made it specifically for that. I need more cool shirts.

For once, the fav/view ratio is actually correct and as it should be (as of now, ~50%).
Question though: Did you do the hairs each by hand? Did you use reference?
As I probably stated before, you have strong skill in showing color and lighting. Thanks for sharing!
Encouraging, inspirational, encouraging...

this is ... simply ... awesome!!
well actually I always wondered why you don't do a bigger painting every time seeing one of your icon submissions. Those icons look outstanding enough, bright and matching colors, rich details of fur, appropriate anatomic structure, but they are still icons. Now this one is indeed a masterpiece!
really really love it.

I've tried it before, but It seems to be a personal issue with keeping focused. I'm workin on that, as you can see. Trying to force myself for bigger projects. I get sidetracked pretty easily. even when doing small things, so it's hard for me to stay focused long enough to finish something this big.
If I can overcome that i'll open for larger things in the future, but at the moment i'm trying to work out some cheaper items for those wanting art from me, but not having a lot of cash on hand. :3

Wow! I can draw animals like this in pencil, but I have such a hard time digital :/ How do you make the fur look so real like that on the computer? Must be a really nice program you have? I think personally I spend too much time drawing hair by hair on my pictures, looks like you do something different. Whatever it is its working for you and I love it, very nice job!
I drew this on Photoshop CS5, at the size you see here. For facial detail I draw each hair by hand. On the neck and longer fur I use a special brush that I made a long time ago for a very basic undercoat, then go over it and detail by hand.
Thank you, it takes a long time, but the outcome is worth it. :3

I love this for the color and the detail, but I would love it so much more if the eyes were smaller. They are beautiful, but those big eyes are what kill the illusion of realism for me. Please don't hurt me! If you were going for a more anthropomorphic rather than realistic look, then good job. :)
I love realism, but there are also things that tend to bring out character in face that realism can't always bring out. Like a smile in something that doesn't normally smile, or slightly larger or more dramatic eyes or muscle features to aid in a character's expression.
Oh wow. Sometimes its just so amazing what a person can create. Just a glance had me thinking I was looking at an actual photograph and then I glanced back and realized just how amazingly detailed this is. Your art is absolutely beauitful. The expression and eyes give the look that there's an intense back story or that its worrying about something, or maybe thats just me looking too deep into this.
HOW THE HELL IS ANYBODY THIS TALENTED?!?!?! It is a shame that commissions are closed right now, because I would be willing to pay hundreds in month or two for a wallpaper-sized picture like this. You are easily the most talented, creative, and skilled artist on this site, at least in my opinion.
1 word....breatheless....
This picture left me breatheless for 10 seconds, I swear to god.
Simply, beautiful. I can't find the words to describe this. It literaly just took my words, and scrambled them allover the world. So right now, i'm just speechless.
Beautiful work buddy. Simply beautiful :,)

Theres a top? I never saw an artist that's hit any top, really. There is always room to move around and improve. :D
Also,,, you sound discouraged. Don't let someone else's art dictate your own personal goals on where you art is, could or should be, whether in the past, present or future.

:3 Thanks.
Yeah, I think every artist, any kind of artist~ music, theater, drawing, painting, sculpting~ all of them, at some point in their life, look at someone else's work and compare themselves to that and see something better than they themselves have created. However, depending on how that person looks at it, it can either leave room for them to improve, or mope about it and put themselves down, and stop trying... which the latter, (in my opinion) is pretty stupid.
Besides.. If you want to become famous and not do drugs or drink a lot, why not do it? Its just a matter of what you want to do, not what everyone else has done... Just because everyone else is jumping off bridges, doesn't mean you gotta do it eh?

Then again wolves with feather accessories are quite a popular subject. :3
